About Vietnam Daily

Vietnam Daily is Will and Lyn Nga from Canada. We are, respectively, a researcher and an artist. We are excited by the rise of Vietnam as an economic and cultural force.

The motivation for Vietnam Daily is Will’s own journey learning Vietnamese: he became sick of the sub-standard, boring, static learning materials that were entirely divorced from his own experiences in Vietnam. The key to learning Vietnamese is audio and cultural context.

The tonal nature of Vietnamese necessitates lots of audio content. Likewise, the brain remembers things better if it is integrated across many different values: cultural insights, travel lessons, economic concerns, food, i.e., cultural context.
